NOTES

This section contains important safety information to prevent personal injury or property damage to the user and others. Please read the text with a full understanding of the following contents (symbols and icons) and be sure to observe the safety items listed.

The Benchy Slushy should be used with a minimum clearance distance 30cm from the surrounding items to ensure effective ventilation.

It is normal for condensation to freeze and drip off the tank when running for long periods of time.

DANGER

Risk of fire or explosion. Flammable refrigerant used. DO NOT puncture refrigerant tubing. Dispose of product properly in accordance with the applicable federal or local regulations pertaining to flammable refrigerants.

SAFETY WARNINGS

To prevent electrical hazards and equipment damage:

  • Do not modify or replace the power cord without authorization.

  • Do not splice (cut and join) the power cord.

  • Do not use this appliance in parallel with other electrical appliances (do not overload a single circuit/outlet).

  • Ensure that the power supply has a circuit breaker, fuse or other earth leakage protection device, and use a fuse that complies with the regulations.

  • Do not use, load, unload, or clean the appliance on unstable or uneven countertops.

  • Do not place other electrical products, valuables, etc., directly under the machine.

  • Do not operate with ventaliation clearance less than 30cm.

  • Do not operate the machine with wet hands.

  • Never use or operate the appliance in a closed room. When used in conjunction with a burning appliance (e.g., gas stove or heater), ensure the room is frequently ventilated by opening a window.

  • Do not step on the smoothie maker or place heavy objects on it, as this may block the air inlet and outlet.

  • When cleaning, you must stop operation and either turn off the power switch or unplug the unit.

  • Do not use water to directly rinse the machine (i.e., do not submerge or spray water directly onto the body/electrical components).

  • Do not tilt or lay the machine down when removing or assembling detachable parts.

  • Please unplug the appliance when it is not in use for a long period of time.

Slide the seal to the back of the evapourator and followed by the auger.

Slide the tank onto the evaporator, then press the pull handle down to lock it into place.

Before First Use

IMPORTANT: Review all warnings at the beginning of the user manual.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the unit.

  2. Wash all parts in warm, soapy water.

  3. Thoroughly rinse and air-dry all parts.

  4. Wipe control panel, motor base, and evaporator with a soft cloth. Allow to dry completely before using.

  5. Place the unit on countertop for at least 2 hours before operating. This allows the refrigerant to settle in the condenser for optimal and safe use.

Connect power, two dashes will appear on the display to show it has power. Hold the On/Off button for 3 seconds to turn the unit on. The display will now show C or F depending on the temperature units in use.

Add your ingredients through the fill port, DO NOT fill above the 2L fill line. Close the fill port cover.

To prevent illness and disease it is recommended to complete the cleaning and maintenance work after each use of the machine.

  1. Add 35-45°c water to the tank via the fill port, fill to the 2L fill mark.

  2. Press and hold the Rinse button for 3 seconds to start the rinse cycle.

  3. Allow to run until clean, empty the drop via the nozzle.

Recipe Guidlines

Benchy Slushy | Sugar & Alcohol Content

Too little sugar or too much alcohol will prevent proper freezing of a slush output. Follow guidelines below for a perfect slush every time. All inputs must contain at least 4% sugar.

How to Calculate

Divide the sugar content (grams) by the volume (ml), multiplied by 100. i.e. 6.6/100 = 0.066 0.066 * 100 = 6.6% Meets minimum sugar level.

Maximum Alcohol

The perfect balance for your favorite frozen cocktails at home. When using the SPIKED SLUSH preset, all premade inputs (wine, beer, etc.) must between 2.8% and 16% alcohol. You may need to set the Benchy Slushy colder the when at the higher end of this range.

How to Calculate

Take the maths and guess work out. Here's a great site to calulate your sugar and alchol of your mixes.

Tap the button for your desired preset (SPIKED SLUSH, SLUSH etc.). The preset temperature will flash on the screen and then show the current temperature whilst cooling.

Adjusting and Saving a Preset

Tap the + or - buttons to manually adjust to your desire temperature. Once the unit has chilled down to this temperature and you have confirmed this is the consistancy you wish to save, press and the appropriate preset button for 3 seconds, until the function light flashes. Your new preset temperature is now saved.

Dispensing

Simply operate the handle with a glass uned the nozzle to exact your slushy from the machine. Never tip or tilt the machine from being upright.

Repeat if neccesary.

Removing Parts for Maintenance & Deep Clean

  1. Power Off: Turn off the power switch and unplug the unit.

  2. Disassembly: Disassemble the unit by following the installation steps in reverse.

  3. Sealing Ring: Gently pull out the sealing ring to remove it. Be careful not to stretch it excessively. Soak in nuetral detergent for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly with water. Inspect frequently and replace immediately in the event of damage to the seal.

  4. Evaporator: Caution: Do not use hard objects to scrape the surface of the evaporator. Use a soft brush for stubborn stains.

  5. Main Body: Wipe the body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners or solvents. KEEP machine upright when cleaning.

  6. Tanks: Rinse with running water for 30 seconds per piece, use a soft brush for stubborn stains. Dishwasher safe.

  7. Drip Tray: Empty the drip tray, rinse it with a mild/neutral detergent, and dry it thoroughly.

  8. Drying: Allow to airdry. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly.

Rinsing

In the event of abnormalities (such as a burning odor or unusual noise), immediately stop operation and disconnect the power supply.
  • During thunderstorms, the appliance's power switch must be turned off.

  • Do not add ice or solid ingredients like fruit, ice cream, or frozen fruit.

  • Do not add hot ingredients.

  • Unauthorized disassembly, modification, repair, or cleaning of internal devices is strictly prohibited and will void the warranty.

    Assemble the spring and spool into the discharge pipe of the tank (spring first), ensure the opening of the spool is facing out.

    Push the handle into the mounting bracket. Ensure the handle lever is engaged into the top section of the spool. Then fix into place with the handle bolt.

    Add the drip tray cover to the drip tray and push it into position. Place the fill port cover over the fill port.

    The Benchy Slushy is now fully assembled.

    Unit has power, is not turned on

    EE: Sugar content in mix is too low. Add more sugar or Slushy Booster and wait 10 minutes for mache to resume normal operation.

    Starts the automatic rinse cycle.

    Sets temperature to preset value for each functions.

    Overides the preset temperature with temperature set via manual mode.

    E1: Heat dissipation fan not rotating; check if the plug is loose; fan damaged. Reset the unit.

    E2: Front-end temperature sensor failure of the evaporation barrel; check if the plug is loose; sensor damaged. Reset the unit.

    E3: Stirring motor stalled. Check for obstructions in the tank or if hard ice has formed. If so turn up the set point and wait for the liquid to defrost. Reset the unit.
