# Sunken Sailor Spiced Rum & Diet Cola - DIY / BYO Spirit Recipe

Whether you have a passion for distillation or you pop to the bottleo for some vodka. This easy to use kit allows you to whip up a keg of your own Captain Morgan's style Rum and Diet Coke in no time. The final kit will make your own keg of Captain Morgan's style Rum and Diet Coke that boasts a flavour profile of brown sugar, select spices and rich vanillin blended with rich full-flavoured Diet Cola.\
\
We recommend making to the specific ABV as that is what has been formulated. Changing said alcohol content may affect overall flavour and enjoyment of this beverage.

**DIFFICULTY**: EASY

**TIME REQUIRED**: 10 minutes to mix ingredients + 5 min to carbonate (using Quick Carb method) OR 1 week (using Set & Forget method)\

**NOT INCLUDED:** A source of neutral alcohol (vodka) distilled by yourself\* or bought from a liquor store.

1. Add 2.8L of your own neutral alcohol (40% Vodka) to your KL02899 [19L Ball Lock Keg](https://kegland.com.au/products/19l-new-ball-lock-keg-free-beverage-tag-low2-o-ring).
2. Add 2 x Spiced Rum Spirit Flavouring sachets.
3. Add 2 x Cola Part A and 2 x Cola Part B sachets.
4. Add 4 x Sugar Free Sweetener Blend 2 sachets.
5. Top up to 19L with water.
6. Add 2 x FermStop sachets *(this step is critical, do not add the FermStops without having topped up the water).*
7. Mix Keg Contents Well.
8. Carbonate to 3.5 volumes CO2 (Refer to [KegLand Set and Forget CO2 Carbonation Chart](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0667/3019/7248/files/KegLand_Set_Forget_CO2_Carbonation_Chart.png) for regulator pressure and keg temperature). *\[Optimum 20psi at 2°C]*
