Schleppes Hard Lemonade - DIY / BYO Spirit Recipe

Our DIY / BYO Spirit recipe is super easy and convient way to have a Hard Rated clone at home.

This easy to use kit allows you to quickly and easily whip up a keg of your own clone of hard schweppes lemonade but also allows you to add more/less sugar to get to the sugar level that you prefer. Whether you have a passion for distillation or you pop to the bottleo for some vodka.

DIFFICULTY: EASY

TIME REQUIRED: 5 minutes to mix ingredients + 5 min to carbonate (using Quick Carb method) OR 1 week (using Set & Forget method)


RECOMMENDED RECIPE:

19L Keg

Kit Includes: 2.8L - Neutral spirit or Vodka (40%) 4 x KL41843 - Impressence - Lemonade Flavour Shot - 50mL 2 x KL41928 - Impressence - FermStop 50mL 1.7kg - White Sugar

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve 1.7kg White Sugar in 4L of hot water then add it to your to your KL02899 - 19L Ball Lock Keg.

  2. Add 2.8L of your own neutral alcohol (40% Vodka).

  3. Add 4 x Lemonade Flavour Shots.

  4. Top up to 19L with water.

  5. Add 2 x FermStop sachets (this step is critical, do not add the Impressence FermStops without having topped up the water).

  6. Mix Keg Contents Well.

  7. Carbonate to 3.5 volumes CO2 (Refer to KegLand Set and Forget CO2 Carbonation Chart for regulator pressure and keg temperature). [Optimum 20psi at 2°C]


9.5L Keg

You will need: 1.4L - Neutral spirit or Vodka (40%) 2 x KL41843 - Impressence - Lemonade Flavour Shot - 50mL 1 x KL41928 - Impressence - FermStop 50mL 850g - White Sugar

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve 850g White Sugar in 2L of hot water then add it to your KL02882 - 9.5L Ball Lock Keg.

  2. Add 1.4L of your own neutral alcohol (40% Vodka).

  3. Add 2 x Lemonade Flavour Shots sachets.

  4. Top up to 9.5L with water.

  5. Add 1 x FermStop sachet (this step is critical, do not add the FermStops without having topped up the water).

  6. Mix Keg Contents Well.

  7. Carbonate to 3.5 volumes CO2 (Refer to KegLand Set and Forget CO2 Carbonation Chart for regulator pressure and keg temperature). [Optimum 20psi at 2°C]

Bombay Crossfire Gin & Tonic - DIY / BYO Spirit Recipe

You simply will not find an easier and faster way to mix up a keg of refreshing Bombay style Gin and Tonic at home. Simply mix, carbonate and enjoy!

Whether you have a passion for distillation or you pop to the bottleo for some vodka. This easy to use kit allows you to whip up a keg of your own Bombay Sapphire style Gin and Tonic in no time.

This easy to use kit allows you to quickly and easily whip up a keg of your own clone of Diet Sugar Orange Stripe Jamaican Ginger Beer. This recipe is less spicy than the Blunderberg recipe kit, but it has a strong aromatic ginger profile that leaves you wanting more and more. Often topped with a fresh squeze of lime juice, these soft drinks do not last long on tap at home! Simply mix, carbonate and enjoy!

Wine Recipe - Tri Conical

A recipe sheet for the VineCo Wine Kits using a Kegland 27L Tri Conical Fermenter

Fermenting

  • Clean and sanitise all equipment.

  • Empty contents of juice concentrate bag into fermenter. Rinse the bag out to ensure all of the concentrate is in the fermenter.

  • Dilute up to 23L with non chlorinated water.

  • Mix thoroughly, measure the SG and record.

  • Add yeast.

    • Hydrate yeast following the packet procedure

  • If your kit contains oak chips/grapes* and you want to use them, add now.

  • Ferment for 10 to 14 days keeping the ferment between 20 - 25 Deg C.

  • Once the SG has stabilised below 1.000 the ferment has finished. Measure and record the SG for Alc calculations.

Maturation - If you are not maturing your wine progress to Settling

  • Add Potassium Metabisulfate / Potassium Sorbate package..

    • Mix in water before adding to tank whilst stirring gently

  • Rack wine to secondary vessel or oak option.

  • On completion of maturation, continue to Settling/Packaging.

  • An additional racking might be required depending on the clarity of the wine and how much sediment is at the bottom.

Settling

  • Add Potassium Metabisulfate / Potassium Sorbate.

    • Mix in water before adding to tank whilst stirring gently

  • Add fining if required.

    • Bentonite - Mix in 10 x water, leave to swell overnight. Mix in gently stirring

    • Chitosan/Kieselsol - Degas and mix in stirring gently Chitosan first, Kieselsol after a few hours

  • Wait for wine to settle (3 - 10 days).

Packaging

  • Rack your settled wine into clean/sanitised bottles or bladder.

  • Enjoy.

*If you are using grapes it is a good idea to ferment them in a mesh bag inside the fermenter. Remove the bag at the end of the ferment and squeeze all the wine back into your fermenter.
