Hard Solo / Hard Rated (Original) - DIY / BYO Spirit Recipe
Our DIY / BYO Spirit recipe is super easy and convient way to have a Hard Rated clone at home.
This easy to use kit allows you to quickly and easily whip up a keg of your own clone of Hard Rated but also allows you to add more/less sugar to get to the sugar level that you prefer. Whether you have a passion for distillation or you pop to the liquor store for some Vodka. We recommend making to the specific ABV as that is what has been formulated. Changing said alcohol content may affect overall flavour and enjoyment of this beverage.
DIFFICULTY: EASY
TIME REQUIRED: 10 minutes to mix ingredients + 5 min to carbonate (using Quick Carb method) OR 1 week (using Set & Forget method) NOT INCLUDED: A source of neutral alcohol (vodka) distilled by yourself* or bought from a liquor store.

4 x KL41836 - Impressence - Lemon Pub Squash Flavour Shot - 50mL 2 x KL41928 - Impressence - FermStop 50mL
Not Included: 2.8L - Neutral Alcohol / Vodka (40% ABV) 1.68kg - White Sugar

Dissolve 1.7kg of white sugar in 4L of hot water then add it to your to your KL02899 - 19L Ball Lock Keg.
Add 2.8L of your own neutral alcohol (40% Vodka).
Add 4 x Pub Squash Flavouring sachets.
Top up to 19L with water.
Add 2 x FermStop sachets (this step is critical, do not add the FermStops without having topped up the water).
Mix Keg Contents Well.
Carbonate to 3.5 volumes CO2 (Refer to KegLand Set and Forget CO2 Carbonation Chart for regulator pressure and keg temperature). [Optimum 20psi at 2°C]

2 x KL41836 - Impressence - Lemon Pub Squash Flavour Shot - 50mL 1 x KL41928 - Impressence - FermStop 50mL Not Included: 1.4L - Neutral Alcohol / Vodka (40% ABV) 8450g - White Sugar

Dissolve 850g of white sugar in 2L of hot water then add it to your KL02882 - 9.5L Ball Lock Keg
Add 1.4L of your own neutral alcohol (40% Vodka).
Add 2 x Pub Squash Flavouring sachet.
Top up to 9.5L with water.
Add 1 x FermStop sachet (this step is critical, do not add the FermStops without having topped up the water).
Mix Keg Contents Well.
Carbonate to 3.5 volumes CO2 (Refer to KegLand Set and Forget CO2 Carbonation Chart for regulator pressure and keg temperature). [Optimum 20psi at 2°C]
