#### **Before Installation** <a href="#before-installation" id="before-installation"></a>

1. Let the glycol chiller sit for at least 24 hours after delivery or after sitting on its side before turning the unit on
2. Ensure there is adequate ventilation (at least 100mm on each side of the glycol chiller, excluding the front)
3. Check for any signs of damage which may have occurred during shipping

### Install the Return Line JoinTech fittings

Install 2 x male JoinTech fittings in the return sockets (marked with a red dot) using the supplied washers and nut

<figure><img src="https://66344119-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJhj88FK6X4FnrYkWzTvI%2Fuploads%2FTLGm7VoK3JORW9r7OG1L%2FOutlet%20JoinTechs%20installed%20Both.jpg?alt=media&#x26;token=137e0bc3-2009-4ded-aa8f-606e814a100a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Locate the two red Return Lines. These are pre-fitted with a barb with 1/2" thread. Thread these onto the male thread of the JoinTech as shown

<figure><img src="https://66344119-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJhj88FK6X4FnrYkWzTvI%2Fuploads%2F9vLZ3Nm2EypCAP1bR4Rg%2FOutlet%20JoinTechs%20installed%20(inside).jpg?alt=media&#x26;token=2163dbd7-3630-4869-8d8c-0550c1804ca3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The nuts can be tightened by hand or with a wrench. As they are plastic fittings be careful to not overtighten
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Install the Outlet Line JoinTech fittings

Install 2 x male JoinTech fittings in the outlet sockets (marked with a blue dot) using the supplied washers and nut

<figure><img src="https://66344119-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJhj88FK6X4FnrYkWzTvI%2Fuploads%2FOqJwFjKPKVEX9jKZNi7p%2FOutlet%20JoinTechs%20installed%20Both.jpg?alt=media&#x26;token=172dcd86-3cec-4c43-aed5-9b2104ba8edc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
